Unlike shrubs, perennials usually die down each Winter and grow again the following year so, where shrubs always provide structure in the garden, perennials appear like glorious secrets from the ground, adding blazing colour and fresh growth year after year.
perennial borders epitomise the traditional English cottage garden - think foxgloves (Digitalis), Delphiniums, Lupins, Lilies and Hollyhocks (Alcea Rosea), however we stock a diverse range of perennials, and many varieties, such as the popular Agapanthus (African Lily, right) look just as at home in a contemporary planting scheme as they do in a vintage pot on a cottage courtyard.
Our perennial section runs the length of the greenhouse (outside); in the Summertime it’s simply impossible to walk past without being bowled over by the beauty of these wild yet elegant plants!
